Ao alinhar a filosofia e a psican\u00e1lise aos achados de algumas ci\u00eancias emp\u00edricas, T\u00fcrcke deduz que a capacidade de simbolizar e produzir objetos s\u00f3 se tornou poss\u00edvel mediante a exist\u00eancia de uma compuls\u00e3o \u00e0 repeti\u00e7\u00e3o que se expressou por meio de ritos sacrificiais.
